Suostei (hello), my name is Syna. I started Sojourn so my family and I could share our love for Cambodia and take you on a worry-free trip you’ll never forget! We’ll take care of everything; you just show up and have the time of your life!
Tour of Cambodia
|
Why Cambodia?Cambodia has so much to offer. This will be an unforgettable trip where you will get to try a little bit of everything.
For those who enjoy architecture, history, and nature - ancient temples like Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm will leave you in Awe. For the animal lovers, you’ll see plenty of monkeys, wash an elephant, and see millions of bats fly overhead at sunset. For the adventurer, we’ll go ziplining and ride motorbikes in the jungle. If that’s not your speed, don’t stress, everything is optional. We’ll slow things down by getting a massage and relaxing on picturesque sandy beaches. For those who love trying new things, we’ll go to a floating village. We’ll stay overnight on a beautiful island surrounded by bioluminescence that makes the water glow in the dark. We’ll go to an Apsara Theatre, and of course try lots of different food. For the foodies, we will even have a cooking class, where you will learn to make authentic Cambodian food. Then you’ll get to party with locals (my family) and end the trip by celebrating the Lunar New Year! Sounds amazing right? Need a little more convincing?... |
Why Travel with Sojourn?Cambodia holds such a special place in my heart. I am 2nd generation born to immigrant parents, who escaped during the civil war. Even though they suffered through horrific things there, Cambodia is still a part of us. It’s where their story began. It molded them to become the people they are now, who in turn raised me to be the person I am today.
My roots are in Cambodia. I’ve been to Cambodia multiple times. Whenever I talk about traveling there, people say the same thing. “I would love to go, but I don’t know the language and I wouldn’t know what to do there.” That is where we come in! My parents speak the language fluently. I understand it fluently and speak English fluently allowing us to be your handy translators. And hopefully teach you a little Khmer (Cambodian) as well. We know the country and the culture well and will be able to give you an authentic Khmer experience! You can also benefit from my mistakes. When I was 18, I flew to Cambodia all by myself. I was a naive teenager and unaware of my fragile American immune system and got extremely sick. But now I know how to avoid that and, knock on wood, have not gotten sick there again. Traveling with us you won’t have to worry about a thing! We will arrange all in country transportation, lodging, food, and activities. Before the trip we will have a Facebook group where we will give you tips on what to expect, pack, and more. There you can ask any questions you have. We’ll be your guides, translators, and travel moms! Let my family and I show you why Cambodia is so special to us! Come on, you know you want to come with us! |
